We have a long and storied history, filled with tales of woe and regret. Our most famous prophet, Balthazar McSnazz, predicted the downfall of the Galactic Empire, but only after it had already fallen.
Our methods are unorthodox, our methods are questionable, and our track record is spotty at best. But hey, at least we're not as bad as those fake prophets who just make stuff up as they go along.
